She's been exceptionally protective of them, staying with them most of the time and only coming far enough out of her ark to reach her feedbowl - and then only eating a little at a time so she's not 'away' for too long.
The result should be that we shall have some robust little swallowbelly piglets because they are certainly getting all her attention and as much milk as they care to drink.
She's a jolly good mum. She can take all the time she needs.
* This afternoon Andromeda decided she could leave her little ones alone whilst she walked across her pen to eat her tea in her 'usual' place.
